EXPERIMENT 01

The Walk
& Talk

Turn something you want to understand into a podcast you can talk to.

10–20 minutes NotebookLM Headphones optional
01

Find something worth understanding.

Don't pick something just because it's interesting. Pick something you actually want to understand.

An article. A PDF. A report. A book chapter. Research you've been meaning to read. Something from work.

Ask yourself:

If I understood this better, would it be useful to me?

02

Turn it into a podcast.

For this experiment, we'll use NotebookLM.

Create a new notebook, add your source, and generate an Audio Overview.

Open NotebookLM ↗

The Multiplied Self doesn't need access to your documents. Your source stays in the tool you're using.

03

Don't just listen. Talk back.

This is the part that makes the experiment interesting.

You're not trying to finish the podcast. You're trying to understand something.

?

Wait. What exactly do you mean?

?

Tell me more about that.

?

What's the strongest argument against that?

When something catches your attention, interrupt it. Ask the question.

04

Leave the screen.

Put on your headphones. Start your podcast. Go for a walk.

Listen. Interrupt. Ask questions. Follow whatever makes you curious.

◌
Now go.

You don't need to finish the podcast. You just need to notice what you start thinking about.

05

Come back.

You don't need to write an essay. Just capture what changed.

Your reflection is saved in this browser.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

You changed the way
you consume information.

Source → Listen → Interrupt → Question → Explore

The interesting part isn't that AI made a podcast. It's that you could have a conversation with something you were trying to understand.

GO DEEPER

Add another source.

Now ask: Where do these two sources agree and disagree?

Same idea. More context.

ONE LAST THING

The screen doesn't
have to come with you.
